2005 ElectroScience Laboratory Alumni Award Honoree

Errol English

Errol K. English
ATK Mission Research Corporation
Director of RF Products Division

Dr. English received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University (1978). He completed his M.Sc. (1980) and Ph.D (1983) at the Ohio State University under the tutelage of Prof. Munk.

Dr. English is currently the Director of the RF Products Division of ATK Mission Research. He joined Mission Research Corporation in 1985 and was a Senior Research Scientist and General Manager of the Antennas, Radomes, and Materials Division. Dr. English was on the Board of Directors for Mission Research Corporation for several years until MRC was acquired by ATK in March 2004. His expertise is in the areas of Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS), radomes, composite materials, RAM/RAS, antennas, phased arrays, microwave components and printed circuitry, as well as low RCS design and testing, manufacturing and processing.

Prior to joining MRC, Dr. English was employed by The Ohio State University where he carried out research on periodic surfaces (frequency selective surfaces) imbedded in stratified media, radar cross section reduction, broadband circuit-analog absorbers, and low RCS phased arrays (with emphasis on radar absorbers). He was involved in the design, fabrication and testing of phased arrays and associated feed networks using stripline and microwave printed circuit techniques and photo etching techniques.
