Bob Burkholder received his BSEE in 1984, his MSEE in 1985 and his Ph.D. in 1989, all from the Ohio State University. He has since worked at the ElectroScience Laboratory where he is currently a Research Scientist and Adjunct Associate Professor. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and a Full Member of URSI, Commission B. He is also a member of the American Geophysical Union and the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society.
Research Interests
Dr. Burkholder's research interests are primarily in mathematical and numerical modeling of electromagnetic wave interactions. He has developed techniques based on asymptotic theory and numerical methods for solving large-scale electromagnetic radiation and scattering problems. He is also involved in the area of radarremote sensing of targets in the presence of random rough surfaces.
