John Kraus received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. He is the Taine G.McDougal Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering and Astronomy, Emeritus, Ohio State University, Columbus. Dr. Kraus is the inventor of the Helical beam antenna, the corner reflector antenna and other antennas. He is the author of Radio Astronomy, Second Edition. Big Ear II and Our Cosmic Universe; also Electromagnetics, Fifth Edition with Daniel Fleisch. He is a member of the National Academy Engineering. He has many awards including the IEEE Distinguished Achievement Award. He has also received the IEEE Centennial Medal and three gold medals: the Sullivant of The Ohio State University and the Edison and Heinrich Hertz of the IEEE.  Ronald Marhefka received his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University. He is a Senior Research Scientist and Adjunct Professor, the Ohio State University, ElectroScience Laboratory, Columbus. His interests include research in antennas, scattering, asymptotic techniques, and electromagnetic theory. He is a key member in the development team of the Numerical Electromagnetic  Code-Basic Scattering Code (NEC-BSC), which enables improved antenna system designs for ships, aircraft , satellites, the space station and buildings. Dr. Marhefka was Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation from 1992-1995. He was AP-S Vice President in 1997 and President in 1998. As one of his many honors he has received a "Third Millennium Medal" from the IEEE.
